Robert P. Casey Jr.
Internships
Senator Casey offers internships to students during the summer, fall, and spring semesters. Interns will gain first-hand knowledge of the legislative process and of the daily operations of a Senate office by working with constituents and staff on issues affecting Pennsylvania. While we welcome all applicants, preference will be given to candidates with a Pennsylvania background.
Senator Casey also offers two paid internships to qualifying Pennsylvania students.
The A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr. internship is open to students enrolled in law school, or planning to enroll in law school, who are residents of Pennsylvania. Each summer, Senator Casey will select one applicant to serve as a paid intern for six weeks in his Washington, DC office. The internship will provide the opportunity to participate in the legislative process while working to further the cause of equal justice.
The Leon H. Sullivan Internship, based in Senator Casey's Washington, DC office, provides an opportunity for undergraduate university students from Pennsylvania to gain access and exposure to the activities of the United States Senate, and also work to further Leon Sullivan's vision for a better America and global community. The Leon Sullivan internship is available year-round. One candidate will be selected for each of the following semesters: fall, spring and summer. The summer internship is a full-time position.
The application deadline for the A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr. and Leon H. Sullivan Internships has passed. Please check back again later for the deadline for the next session.
