WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) made the following statement in response to the President’s announcement on the HHS ruling:
“My position on this issue has been clear for months. I support greater access to contraceptives but I do not believe that religious institutions should be forced to violate their beliefs.
I appreciate the Administration’s attempt to find a solution to protect religious liberty. I also appreciate those who have proposed other remedies. I will review the details of today’s announcement to determine whether it strikes the right balance.”
