Senator Casey kicked-off the 2016 Summer Lunch Program by visiting the Dormont Pool/Recreation Center distribution site in the Keystone Oaks School District to assist in distributing summer lunches.
In southwestern Pennsylvania alone, nearly 140,000 school-age children are eligible for free or reduced school lunches and rely on that daily meal throughout the school year. Through partnerships with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, the Southwestern Pennsylvania Food Security Partnership, Share our Strength, and the countless number of community organizations that sponsor lunch programs, we can make sure adequate nutrition is not a barrier to learning and behavioral roadblocks that prevent children from becoming successful adults.
There are a number of ways to find a summer food site:

- Text "FOOD" or "COMIDA" (“co-MEE-duh”) to 877877
- Download the “Range for Youth” app (Rangeapp.org) to your phone
