Senator To Honor Former Philadelphia Councilwoman Marian Tasco at Annual Symposium, Celebration

Washington, D.C. – Today, as we celebrate the start of Black History Month, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) announced that he will honor Former Philadelphia Councilwoman Marian Tasco for her dedication to public service and work to inspire future generations of leaders.

“Councilwoman Tasco was and remains a dedicated public servant and her contributions to her community, the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth should be celebrated,” said Senator Casey. “Councilwoman Tasco’s decades of service have been marked by tireless efforts to improve the lives of her constituents and all those around her. I am honored to have the Councilwoman join me in Washington later this month as we celebrate and discuss not only her legacy, but the important contributions of African-Americans from around the country.”
