WASHINGTON, DC- U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and Arlen Specter (R-PA) today congratulated the thirty Pennsylvania athletes who were selected to represent the United States at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
“Every four years, the world comes together in the summer to celebrate the Olympics, an event that champions mutual respect and understanding through the spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play,” said Senator Casey. “It is in this spirit that I want to wish the best of luck to the U.S. Olympic Teams and the 30 athletes from Pennsylvania. I know you will make us all proud.”
