Funding Will Keep Runways Safe and Create Pennsylvania Jobs
WASHINGTON, DC — U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will provide approximately $15 million in federal funding to the Philadelphia International Airport.
“This funding will help repair our runways and ensure the safety of travelers flying in and out of the Philadelphia International Airport,” said Senator Casey. “It will also provide much needed jobs for workers in Southeastern Pennsylvania.”
The federal funding will rehabilitate the existing runway pavement that has reached the end of its useful life and will include paving, signage and lighting of the runway.
