Energy Efficiency Program Will Directly Benefit Local Manufacturers
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) announced that the U.S. Department of Energy has awarded over $1.3 million to Lehigh University for training the next generation of industrial efficiency experts.
“With this funding, Lehigh University will better prepare students to compete for jobs after graduation and help local manufacturers increase their energy efficiency and competitiveness,” said Senator Casey.
Funding will be used to give students extensive training in industrial processes, energy assessment procedures and energy management principles, which will be put to use working directly with small and medium-sized industrial and manufacturing facilities in the surrounding communities.
