Federal Transit Administration announces $343,703,209 for PA
WASHINGTON, DC- U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) applauded funds announced today to be distributed to Pennsylvania through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that was signed into law last month.
“This funding will help create and maintain Pennsylvania jobs while also investing in our infrastructure,” said Senator Casey. “I am pleased that the Obama Administration is moving quickly to get this money where it is needed.”
Pennsylvania will receive $343,703,209 for mass transit projects, including $80,303,844 for rail modernization projects, $233,190,181 for transit capital and operating assistance in urbanized areas and $30,209,184 for public transportation in areas of less than 50,000 in population
