WASHINGTON, DC- U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement on the passage of legislation to enact the 9/11 Commission recommendations:
"Almost three years after the 9/11 Commission recommendations were issued, I am pleased to vote in favor of legislation to implement these much needed safeguards. Passage of these bipartisan and commonsense recommendations is long overdue and will help to make our country more secure.
"Since taking office in January, I am proud to have voted to accomplish three of my top campaign priorities: to implement the 9/11 Commission recommendations, to pass a strong ethics reform bill, and to increase the minimum wage."
