Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) is releasing a letter today he is sending to Wabtec Corporation CEO Ray Betler expressing his concern over the current UE Local 506 and 618 strike in Erie following the company’s merger with GE.
Casey writes, “These family-sustaining jobs have helped power the region’s economy for decades, and I suspect the highly skilled workforce in Erie was an important factor in your decision to merge with GE.” He goes on to say, “We must do all that we can to help the City, the workforce, and the regional economy.”
