WASHINGTON, DC— U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Near Eastern and South and Central Asian Affairs, released the following statement on today's mortar attack:
"I condemn today's mortar attack on civilians in Israel by Hamas in Gaza, the most intense attack in two years. Last July, I traveled to the southern Israeli city of Sderot and saw the impact of such strikes. I call on Hamas to immediately halt these terrorist attacks on civilians."
