WASHINGTON, DC—After Senate Republicans finally relented to begin debate on Wall Street reform after voting against it three times, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement:

“The fourth time is a charm as Senate Republicans finally allow debate to begin on Wall Street reform.  Senate Republicans stood together for the past week to block an open and public debate.  Now we will see if they will continue to stand with Wall Street and oppose more transparency and accountability for the types of risky behavior that helped cause the recession and massive job loss.”
