“Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet virtually with Wally Adeyemo, who has been nominated to serve as Deputy Treasury Secretary in President-elect Biden’s Administration. I commended Mr. Adeyemo for his service during President Obama’s Administration and his willingness to once again serve our Nation during this challenging time. Mr. Adeyemo expressed his desire to ensure that our Treasury Department focuses on the economic needs of working families. I am confident that he will focus his efforts on promoting policies that raise wages for workers and help American families make ends meet. Mr. Adeyemo has the experience and vision to serve as Deputy Treasury Secretary during this economic crisis.
