As Finance Committee Member, Casey Will Push for Accountability, Answers to Website Issues / Hearing Will Explore How Healthcare.gov Issues Occurred, When Fixes Will be Made

Washington, DC- Today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) announced that the Senate Finance Committee, of which he is a member, will hold a hearing on the issues that have arisen with healthcare.gov on Wednesday, November 6 at 10:00am. The hearings will provide an opportunity to explore how issues with the website occurred and what’s being done to ensure Americans can access the site.

“I’m pleased that the Finance Committee will hold a hearing to examine the issues that have occurred with healthcare.gov,” Senator Casey said. “While I believe that the problems we are seeing with the website are indicative of flaws in implementation rather than larger flaws in the law, I am concerned about the potential negative impact of enrollment problems on consumers should they continue throughout the open enrollment period.”
