WASHINGTON, DC- In advance of tonight’s meeting between the 811 families affected by the OPFM/Image Masters, Inc. bankruptcy, U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and Arlen Specter (R-PA) and Congressman Tim Holden (D-PA) today released the following statement praising Michelle Weaver, Mike Hartz and Teresa Lord who played a key role in advocating on behalf of the families:
“We want to publicly acknowledge Michelle Weaver for the indispensable role she and other leaders have played throughout the past months while working on behalf of the homeowners affected by the OPFM/Image Masters, Inc. bankruptcy crisis. Without her leadership and perseverance, along with that of Mike Hartz and Teresa Lord, hundreds of homeowners would have been faced with the possibility of losing their homes. It was through their efforts initially that the problems were brought to the public’s attention. Most recently, in response to Michelle and the other leaders’ continued advocacy, the Fulton Mortgage Company proposal was developed.
“Their advocacy on behalf of the affected homeowners is commendable, and we look forward to continuing our cooperative relationship.”
