Washington DC – U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA), a member of the National Security Working Group and former Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Near Eastern, South and Central Asian Affairs, released a statement amid ongoing violence in Israel:

“I am deeply concerned by the ongoing violence in Israel and the West Bank and condemn in the strongest terms the terrorist attacks against innocent Israeli civilians. Terrorism in any form is unacceptable and I fully support Israel’s right to defend itself from such attacks. Israel is our friend and indispensable partner in the Middle East, and the bond between our two countries has been and always will be unbreakable. I have traveled to the region multiple times and have seen the security situation firsthand. In my years in the Senate, I have been resolute in supporting measures to bolster Israel’s security and its qualitative military edge in the region. It is important that both sides work together to ensure no more lives are lost. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.”
