Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) will award a BUILD Grant to Butler County for State Route 228:
“I am pleased that Butler County will receive a $25 million BUILD Grant for safety and capacity improvements to State Route 228. As Butler County continues to grow, this grant will provide funding for roadway, intersection and pedestrian improvements to make the Route 228 Gateway safer, more reliable and more efficient. I advocated for this project to Secretary Chao and I will continue to fight to improve infrastructure in Western Pennsylvania.”
