WASHINGTON, DC-Following the news of Harley-Davidson’s plans to restructure the plant in York County, U.S. Senator Bob Casey released the following statement:
“I am troubled to learn that Harley-Davidson has made the decision to outsource some jobs from the York plant.
“The decision making process about the future of the York plant is ongoing and I am hopeful that Harley officials will work closely with their employees throughout that process.
“While this news is disappointing, I will continue to urge Harley-Davidson to keep the manufacturing of its ‘core’ parts in York to avoid further impact on the hard working men and women at the plant and the community as a whole. Harley-Davidson has a rich history in York and I will continue to advocate for the York plant to remain open.”
