Washington DC- Today U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement after a meeting with Doug Parker, the CEO of US Airways:
“I was pleased to meet with U.S. Airways’ CEO as its proposed merger with American Airlines moves forward. Mr. Parker and I had a productive conversation in which I emphasized the important role the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia International Airports play in the economy of our state. I stressed the importance of maintaining jobs in the state and ensuring Philadelphia and Pittsburgh have sufficient direct flights to attract businesses and travelers.”
