WASHINGTON, DC-In advance of Monday’s observance of Memorial Day, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement:
“Pennsylvania has a proud tradition of military service with over one million veterans living in the Commonwealth. Many of Pennsylvania’s sons and daughters paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country and did not come home.
“As we observe Memorial Day on Monday, I hope that all Pennsylvanians take the time to remember those who gave their lives in defense of our country and the freedoms and liberties we enjoy today. Especially on this Memorial Day, I will keep in my thoughts Americans who lost their lives in all wars and conflicts with a special thought to the families grieving from loved ones lost in ongoing operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
