Washington DC- U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement on Sarah Murnaghan: "I have been in touch with Secretary Sebelius to raise concerns on behalf of my constituent Sarah Murnaghan. I asked the Secretary to immediately review Sarah’s case to re-evaluate it for lung allocation. Sarah is one of only three Pennsylvania children ages 6-10 awaiting a lung transplant. Given her condition, I ask that HHS review existing protocol to make sure there are no barriers to her receiving life-saving treatment and that she, and others like her, are given the best chance of survival.”
