Washington, DC - Today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement on Silver Airlines’ decision to reduce flights in Northwestern and Central Pennsylvania:
“I’m disappointed in Silver Airlines’ decision to move to redeploy flights and pilots out of Northwestern and Central Pennsylvania. Moving forward I’m committed to working with the community, the Department of Transportation and other airlines to ensure Northwestern Pennsylvania has access to safe and reliable air transportation. Quality air service in the region is a key element to Northwestern Pennsylvania’s economy. More flights make the region more attractive to businesses and ultimately result in job creation. I will continue to urge the Department of Transportation and all stakeholders to work to increase air service to these communities.”
