“While I am in Washington today for votes on the Defense Authorization bill, I wanted to welcome the President back to Pennsylvania. I also want to call on the House of Representatives to act immediately to pass legislation that will protect middle class Pennsylvanians. The Senate already passed a bill to ensure that the middle class does not get hit by a big tax increase on January 1st and it awaits action in the House. This is something that both Republicans and Democrats agree should not happen. I urge the House to pass it now so we can move forward together to address the rest of our fiscal challenges.”
