Washington, DC - U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released a statement following the Trump Administration's rollback of methane protections:
"I am disappointed, though hardly surprised, that the Administration continues to put the interests of polluters above public health. This week’s Interior Department rollback of the Bureau of Land Management’s methane waste reduction rule, combined with last week’s EPA proposal to rollback standards for preventing methane waste, amounts to a full scale assault on sensible methane pollution controls. These decisions will short-change taxpayers, lead to increased pollution, and threaten the health of individuals who reside near these sites."
