Washington, DC- Today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) released the following statement on the unrest in Venezuela:

“I am deeply concerned about the ongoing violence in Venezuela and the use of force and intimidation by the Venezuelan government. President Maduro must release detained opposition leaders, protestors, and students, and allow unfettered media access. The Venezuelan people deserve to have their voices heard and I support their right to freely express their views and peacefully assemble.”
