Company Currently Considering Elizabethtown as Site for Online-Sales Fulfillment Center

Washington, DC- Today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) announced that he has written a letter to Blake Nordstrom, Chief Executive Officer of Nordstrom, urging the company to bring a local and online-sales fulfillment center in Lancaster County. The company is currently considering the move that could bring approximately 700 jobs to Elizabethtown. Casey’s letter promotes the region’s workforce as an ideal location for this center.

“Lancaster County would be an ideal location for this new center and I’m hopeful that Nordstrom will choose Elizabethtown,” Senator Casey said. “The region’s workforce has proven over and over again to be efficient and highly skilled. Moving this online-sales fulfillment center to Elizabethtown would be a major economic boost.”

Dear Mr. Nordstrom,

I write to you today to reiterate my support for the construction of a Nordstrom online-sales fulfillment center at Consewago Industrial Park in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.

Opening a Nordstrom facility would provide a strong economic boost to the region and create jobs for Pennsylvanians.  It is my understanding that this project has the potential to create approximately 700 jobs.  I welcome the investment in Lancaster County and know that you will be impressed by the quality of the region’s workforce.

I stand ready to assist Nordstrom in developing an online-sales fulfillment center in Pennsylvania. Thank you for your continued effort to bring jobs to Pennsylvania.

Sincerely,

Robert P. Casey, Jr.

United States Senator
