Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) is announcing that U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks has accepted his invitation to speak at the Showcase for Commerce opening ceremony in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Senator Casey and Deputy Secretary Hicks will also tour the exhibits at Showcase and explore the latest defense innovations and products with industry leaders in attendance. During her remarks, Deputy Secretary Hicks will outline ongoing defense work in Washington and share her vision for the future of the industry.
“I am grateful to Deputy Secretary Hicks for agreeing to join me at the annual Showcase for Commerce. The Showcase is a vital opportunity to highlight Pennsylvania’s contributions to U.S. national security and renew our promise to the Nation,” said Senator Casey.
The Showcase for Commerce is a nationally-renowned business and industry trade show and defense contracting exhibition. The 30th Annual Showcase for Commerce will be held from August 31 to September 2 in 2021.
