Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) is announcing the inclusion of congressionally directed funding for an economic development project in Oil City in the Senate Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Appropriations bills. Senator Casey advocated for the funding to be included. The U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee released nine of the 12 bills on Monday, October 18; the other three had already been released.
“Oil City and Northwestern Pennsylvania have a proud history of contributing to Pennsylvania’s economic development and I’m pleased to advance this critical funding to support small businesses in the region,” said Senator Casey. “As we build back better, investments like these will help revitalize communities across Northwestern Pennsylvania. I will continue to advocate for resources for our Commonwealth and work with my colleagues to get these spending bills passed into law.”
