Casey Helped Secure Grant to Fund Recent Renovations
LANCASTER, PA – U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) today toured Lancaster Central Market with Lancaster Mayor Richard Gray.
“The Lancaster Central Market is a hub for economic and community activity,” said Senator Casey. “These improvements are a boost to the town and an opportunity for area farmers to bring their goods directly to the marketplace.”
The market recently completed an extensive renovation funded in part by a $300,000 grant Senator Casey helped to secure from the National Park Service. Renovations included streetscape upgrades, energy efficiency improvements and the installation of a sprinkler system.
Senator Casey purchased a milkshake and whoopie pies while at the market.
